General Practice
University College Cork

We have a diverse range of research projects on topics pertaining to general practice and primary care. We have a particular interest in chronic diseases and their primary care management developed initially around diabetes but now extending to dementia and epilepsy.

We have also a major interest in research on general practitioner prescribing with projects on antibiotic prescribing, prescribing in multi-morbidity and prescribing at the primary-secondary care interface. We have also been actively involved in a number of studies on aspects of healthcare professional education.
